USPS / City of Stuart Centennial Events
- Mon, March 24, 2014: USPS/ SLRPS to receive Proclamation from City of Stuart
- City of Stuart Centennial, Sat. May 10th
- Parade thru Stuart which culminates at Memorial Park, the location of our booth
- If Your Pet Wears a PFD, Shouldn't You, too !
- will be the theme of our USPS Centennial Booth
- At our booth we feature members and pets in PFDs
- Contact me if you want to help w/ booth or participate w/ your pet
- We will decorate our booth w/ photos and artwork
- From various USPS/ SLRPS/ D8 sources
- To be obtained thru an experiment in social media;
- where we will host a mini competition on Sail Angle, D8 and Twitter
- Bob Scully, D8 PRO has set up a blog and will advise us.
- Items on blog can be removed and updated
- To participate in blog, please contact me.
- Sell pet PFDs
- need members to contact vendors
- We will jump start Safe Boating Week w/ sign-ups for
- Seminars
- Safe Boating Classes
- Hurricane Fair
- At the end of SBW
- we can end competition
- continue the competition into the school year and end at the Stuart Boat Show or PS Seafood Fest.

Chain of submissions:
1. Posters shall be judged by each Squadron first at any activity level (i.e.
schools, cub scouts, day-camps, etc) with the winning posters of each group
combined with non-group entries to be judged at the squadron level. Squadrons
may supply awards in any manner they decide.
2. First, second and third place winners in each age category from each
Squadron are submitted for judging on the District level. It is up to the District to
determine when and where their judging will occur, keeping in mind the timing of the
National Annual Meeting. Districts may supply awards in any manner they decide.
3. First place winners in each age category are then submitted for judging at
the National level.
Award: First place $150, second place $100 and third place $75 given to winners in
three age groups: 1) 6-8 years, 2) 9-11 years and 3) 12-14 years. All awards will be
forwarded to the Squadron Commander for presentation to their winners.
